This lush jungle property is located just a few miles outside Belmopan, near the Belize River in the Valley of Peace area of the Cayo District.  The village of Valley of Peace is a lovely settlement nestled in palm trees.  The general area is flat and slightly rolling.  The property itself supports many hardwoods and an unusually high number of King palms.

The property recently became much more accessible by car when a new bridge was built over the Belize River and a gravel road was built along the front side of the property.  The bridge and gravel road are the first components of a planned (but as-yet-officially-unannounced) highway connecting the cities of Belmopan and Orange Walk.

The new highway will be built to Pan American highway standards.  It will vastly diminish the time required to drive between Mexico and Belmopan.  Combined with planned road construction in southern Belize, the road will become a major route connecting Mexico and southern Guatemala. 

Frontage on an international road, once it is built, will significantly increase the value of this property.  Since the route of the highway has not yet been officially announced, the full premium for such frontage is not part of the asking price.  However, once the announcement is made, the asking price of the property will go up.
